A former Director of Golf Tourism Scotland and Fife Golf Partnership he is still only an 18 handicap!

Stephen Carter OBE

Chairman

Highly experienced and renowned hotelier whose career has ranged from the world famous Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh to the Cliveden Group. With two of Scotland's most iconic hotel developments under his belt including the £58m Fairmont development in St Andrews and the £50m refurbishment of Cameron House Hotel he is one of the UK's most respected operators. Stephen brings a pragmatic and can do approach to any project he is involved with.

John Shevlin

Director

John is an experienced and well respected hotelier and leader known within the industry for his ability to successfully maximise all opportunities with enthusiasm and dedication. His success at Regional and Director level is due to the knowledge and experience gained from working in both the independent and corporate hospitality sectors. With a track record of delivering sustained revenue growth he has the ability to transform a business.

Simon O'Donnell ACMA CGMA

Finance Director

Qualified Chartered Accountant experienced in managing finance teams large and small for multi-site entities. Simon has the ability to communicate clearly and has a strong strategic and commercial mindset. He believes that businesses must plan for growth and grasp opportunities whilst ensuring the accounting fundamentals are delivered.

Stuart Horton

Group Operations Manager

A focused, customer centric manager with extensive experience of leading and developing high performing teams of up to 100. Stuart’s process driven approach increases standards, productivity, and revenue. He takes pride in nurturing teams and increasing sales and will always remain composed in high pressure situations.

With a wealth of experience in both managerial and operational roles he is comfortable building strong relationships with guests and suppliers in hotels & resorts ranging from 3 to 5 star and has previously increased sales in hotel food outlets ranging from pub grub to Michelin dining.

John Rawcliffe

IT Director

Former IT Director of the largest independent hotel group in the UK John has extensive knowledge of the technologies in use in the hospitality industry. Strong problem solving abilities lead him to generate sound solutions to complex IT challenges. With a strong hospitality background John is the ideal partner on any IT project.

Michael Reynolds

A proactive and results-driven professional with several years of experience within the hospitality and leisure sectors along with a proven track record of profitable growth through the creation of successful sales, business development and marketing strategies. An incisive, energetic and committed leader with a strong ethical mindset who creates and communicates a clear and compelling vision that passionately engages the entire organisation and its stakeholders.

Niall Thompson

Associate Director

Niall Thompson is a proactive and dynamic hospitality professional with a proven ability to achieve significant growth in high profile, high value hospitality establishments.

Recently he led the team at the 5-star Fonab Castle Hotel and Spa in Pitlochry. This allowed him to showcase his leadership & strategic planning skills to re-position Fonab Castle Hotel and Spa as one of Scotland’s leading luxury hotels. Niall has a strong focus on staff development & training to enhance the customer experience, and has led over £4 million of development projects at Fonab alone, delivering projects from start to finish,

‘On time, on brand, and on budget’.

Niall also played a major part in the purchase and disposal of both the property and the business, carrying out due diligence, producing forecasts, relevant market data, and providing analysis on the viability of future acquisitions.

Chris MacDairmid

Culinary Director

Chris is an accomplished Executive Chef having worked in a variety of roles from City Centre to Country House Hotel and Contract Catering Company to Exec Chef for a Pub Group. He is passionate about local produce and has also cooked competitively gaining a team silver medal at Hotelympia's La Parade du Chefs.

Ben Rafferty

Associate Director

A unique licensed hospitality & leisure specialist and entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience throughout the UK, Australasia, and the Middle East. Ben is highly competent in pre-opening preparations including planning and feasibilities, operational logistics, company startups and pre-launch Press and PR. He can demonstrate a record of proven ROI successes over several licensed leisure sectors and has over 7 years of multi-site management & acquisitions experience. Ben previously established and traded a multi-award-winning business for over 13 years and has developed a total of 42 new site openings and acquired over 23 licensed premises for small and blue chip businesses.
